Before you begin

Export your chat, without media.

VibeCheckMe only needs the text export. Choosing Without media keeps the file small, fast to analyse, and private.

  1. 1Open WhatsApp and open the individual or group chat you want to turn into a vibe reveal.
  2. 2Tap the contact or group name at the top of the screen.
  3. 3Scroll down and choose Export Chat.
  4. 4When WhatsApp asks, choose Without Media.
  5. 5Save or share the resulting ZIP file somewhere you can find again, such as Files. Open the ZIP if needed and select the .txt chat file when you return here.

  2. 2Tap the three-dot menu, then choose More > Export chat.
  3. 3Choose Without media when prompted.
  4. 4Save or share the resulting export somewhere you can find again, such as Files or Drive.
  5. 5Return here and choose the .txt chat file from the export.

Choose the exported .txt file.

On some phones WhatsApp gives you a ZIP file. Open it in your Files app first, then select the chat’s .txt file. Your browser reads it locally; the raw chat is never uploaded to VibeCheckMe.

WhatsApp labels can differ slightly between app versions. If you cannot find Export chat, open the chat’s profile or menu and look for it there.
